Greets visitors to downtown Ketchikan's Eagle Park. The name Ketchikan,
may have its origin in the word for sound of thundering wings of an eagle.
Another possible origin is the Tlingit word meaning "spreading wings
of a protrate eagle." Also the word used to describe the creek around
which Ketchikan has grown..
